Its a step up from drawing just blocks because for this assignment we got to draw people as well. I like this drawing but I could've used a little more contrast.

I agree with you on the contrast. Dont be afraid to make strong lines. Just make sure you make them towards the end when you know they are correct. Its a build up process, so be patient. Work from light to dark. You can always go back and make things darker.
overall a really nice sketch.
